Environmental Policy:

We are small, technical consultancy based in the South of England but operating throughout the UK and beyond. We provide engineering-based advice relating to both Product and Process. We are committed to providing a quality service in a manner that ensures a safe and healthy workplace for our associates and minimises our potential impact on the environment. Although the impact of our operation is generally limited, due to the nature of the work (mostly information/office based) , we operate in compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and we will strive minimise our impact and adopt appropriate environmental practices where possible.  To achieve these results we will,


  • integrate the consideration of environmental concerns and impacts into all of our decision making and activities , including the product-related advice.

  • promote environmental awareness among our associates and encourage our Clients to work in an environmentally responsible manner, where possible,

  • educate and inform our associates about environmental issues that may affect their work,

  • reduce waste through re-use and recycling and by purchasing recycled, recyclable or re-furbished products and materials where these alternatives are available, economical and suitable,

  • promote efficient use of materials and resources throughout our operation

  • avoid unnecessary use of hazardous materials and products, seek substitutions when feasible, and take all reasonable steps to protect human health and the environment when such materials must be used, stored and disposed of,

  • purchase and use environmentally responsible products accordingly,

  • communicate our environmental commitment to clients and encourage them to support it,

  • continually monitor our environmental performance and improve where possible

  • periodically review our environmental policy in light of our current and planned future activities.

Commercial Confidentiality:

In order to enable us to provide an appropriate level of advice we often need access to the client's detailed technical information relating to products and/or processes.


We will protect such information and we  will not divulge to third parties matters confidential to the Client without the Client's consent.

If requested, we are happy to sign Non-disclosure Agreements relating to specific projects. We can provide a simple NDA template for use by clients if required.

Privacy/Data Protection:

We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration reference:.ZA318814).

When you request information, documents or registration on the website, we may ask you for contact information, (limited) personal details and email addresses. The information supplied is used directly in connection with the delivery of our services We will never disclose information about your individual visits to the site or personal data to any third parties unless we have your prior consent. We do not sell or rent your personal information to others. 

You can check the information which we hold on you by emailing us at info@petts-consulting.co.uk , we will send you the information (as held by us) within the appropriate legal time limit and will try to send it within 14 days. Any information which we hold on you will be review for accuracy and we will regularly audit it and dispose of any information which has not been used over a twelve month period. Your information will not be passed onto any third parties without your express permission in compliance with the Data Protection Act
